As a person with bad seasonal allergies, I have been on antihistamine for years now. when pollens and allergens are bad, my day starts too early with itchiness, sneezing, headache, fatigue, and eye burning. Even the antihistamine won’t stop it, but you can imagine how bad it could be without it.
I started creating my own routine for natural remedy through essential oil uses. Best methods that work are:
Put a couple drops of peppermint essential oil in my hand and just sniff the aroma, such a great airway opener!!
Diffuse essential oils daily. everyday I use a different blend but I always add peppermint or eucalyptus as the base
I made my own bottle for allergy. In a 10ml roller bottle, I added:
3 drops peppermint oil
3 drops eucalyptus
2 drops thyme oil
2 drops holy basil
Fill it up with a carrier oil. For me, I go for coconut fractionated oil
A one time bottle shake and it’s ready to use.
How to use it:
With the roller (or if you have a dropper), apply a small amount on your temples or on the back of your neck.
As my allergies worsen during the night and when I wake up, I tend to apply this nightly and so I enjoy a good sleep!
